We apply history matching techniques like Particle Swarm Optimisation and Differential Evolution as they balance the need to find models that match the data quickly, with the need to find diverse models, and still produce good matches.
Alongside RAVEN we offer commercial training courses in History Matching and Uncertainty Quantification as well as providing consultancy offerings to smaller companies to support their history matching efforts.
Epistemy was born in September 2009, a spin-out from the Uncertainty Project at the Institute of Petroleum Engineering, Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, UK. With whom we still maintain a close relationship.
